Allen Park Public Schools' Curriculum

 
The focus of this department in the Allen Park Public Schools is to support the students, parents, teachers, and administrators as they provide a rich learning environment. All activities within this department have one goal in mind, increase student achievement.

The responsibilities of the curriculum department include:
 
  • Coordinating district student testing such as the MSTEP, PSAT, SAT Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), and Classroom Literacy.

  • Facilitating professional staff development for instructional staff in the areas of academics and technology.

  • Coordinating and monitoring state and local grant funded programs such as Title I and Section 31A (at-risk).

  • Coordinating services for students qualifying for services as English Language learners.

  • Coordinating services for students qualifying as homeless.

  • Facilitating our curriculum review process through the assistance of the Instructional Curriculum Council.

  • Managing our student data system, MISTAR, which includes Student Connect, Parent Connect.
