The Office of Personnel and Employee Services is responsible for the recruitment and placement of all regular employees and substitutes; supervising the management of personnel and employee relations of the school district; contract negotiation and administration; pupil accounting and compliance with applicable Board policies and regulations as well as State and Federal regulations.

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement. Endorsement must not solely be in Physical Education for Students with Disabilities (SP) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS)
BA/BX endorsement preferred

Independence Paraprofessionals – All Buildings

 7.0 hours per day

Independence Paraprofessional positions are subject to change each year.

 

Candidates must meet “highly qualified” standards by meeting one of the following:

-Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (60 semester hours) or

-Obtain an associate's degree (or higher) or

-Meet the HQ standard through a formal, approved assessment.

(The district will be able to provide information regarding testing sites and dates if needed.)

Food Service Substitutes Needed

Allen Park Public Schools is looking for respectful, reliable drivers to join our team.  

On site shadowing and training is offered for all drivers, new or experienced. 

School Bus Driver's responsibilities include ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, observing safety and traffic rules, and maintaining order among students while they are on the bus. To be successful as a School Bus Driver you should enjoy working with children and strictly observe passenger transport regulations.

CDL Class B  licensed with experience, or currently a bus driver  $22.00 per hour
New hires, will train  $16.97 per hour
