Text Message Scam - APPS will not solicit anyone to purchase anything on behalf of the schools

This morning, a Text Message Scam was launched. People posing as "District Leaders" are sending out text messages to people asking them to purchase AMAZON Gift Cards. They make it sound like it's legit, letting the person know they will be reimbursed through the school. They give instructions that after you purchase the cards, they are to "scratch off the code" on the back, "take a photo" and text the photo back to them.

Please know this is a SCAM. A District Leader, Administrator, or anyone associated with Allen Park Public Schools would never solicit any employee, friend, etc. to purchase anything on behalf of the schools and promise reimbursement.
