Competitive Swim Program
FALL 2019 SEASON
September 16th - November 21st
This program has been designed to give swimmers an opportunity to swim competitively, improve their strokes, and have some FUN! Swimmers will be introduced to all 4 competitive strokes and then given an opportunity to showcase their developing skills and abilities at swim meets held throughout the season. New participants will be tested on their swimming ability by the coaches at the first practice. The Barracuda Swim Team practices will begin on Monday, September 16th. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page and return it to the Community Services office, along with your payment (checks made payable to Allen Park Public Schools). You do not have to be an Allen Park resident to participate in this program. All practices will be held at the Allen Park High School Pool.
PRACTICE TIMES FEES
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday $150/child
6:00 – 7:15 pm (elementary) $270/family
7:30 – 8:45 pm (M.S. & H.S.)
SWIMMERS MUST BE PAID AND REGISTERED BEFORE THEY BEGIN SWIMMING

SWIM LESSONS and AQUA TOTS
Swim classes will be held each Saturday for 8 weeks beginning Saturday, April 27th and ending Saturday, June 22nd (with the exception of Saturday, May 25th). Classes are 45 minutes (30 minutes for Aqua Tots). All classes are taught by a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Please note: All students must pre-register. Class availability cannot be guaranteed unless student is pre-registered.
Swim lessons may be canceled due to emergency situations i.e. mechanical failure, or weather event. There is no refund for an emergency cancellation; however, a make-up lesson may be scheduled for the canceled class. Parents are asked to stay and watch lessons from the bench area. Swimmers are encouraged to wear proper swim attire during lessons.
All classes will be held at the Allen Park High School pool. Please read each level description to determine which class your child should take. PLEASE note it on the registration form for proper placement.
